A Glengarry is a folding cap made of thick-milled wool, boat-shaped in profile with a flat top and typically featuring a pair of ribbon tails hanging at the back. Many styles feature a diced band of alternating coloured squares, traditionally red, white and black, around the crown. A clan or regimental badge is often pinned to the left side, and a hackle may be worn for ceremonial occasions.
The Glengarry is worn slightly tilted to the right, with the diced band visible over the forehead. It carries centuries of Highland heritage and commands respect when worn with intention.
